3D engraving technology

3D laser engraving is a special method, which enables us to form pictures or different types of three dimensional shapes into crystal glasses. This made possible by the improvement of Nd:YAG laser-technology. The laser beam gets through the wall of the glass and at a defined point it changes the structure of the glass by creating microcracks. The picture is being built up by thousands of cracks like that. Now at Gravir Expressz Ltd. you can also design your own 3D glasses, with sizes ranging from the 4 cm cube to the 20 cm prism.

The 3D portraits are being made with a special face-scanner at our store or you can also choose from thousands of 3D pictures (like flowers, animals, ships, aeroplanes, cars, sport-emblems, buildings, instruments, etc.). Text can also be added to the shape inside the glass.

It is possible to preview the portrait made of you on your own computer before we engrave it into glass cube. 3D photo can be sent to you via e-mail and the free viewer can be downloaded here (75 kB).

We make the logo of your company according to your wishes, or the 3D model of any of your products. We are also able to portray a 2D picture into any desired shape of crystal, based on a photo brought by you. For illuminating the finished products we recommend different lamp-bases with LED technology.
